University of Wolverhampton

IT Self Help

The University provides networks for you to connect your own computer or other mobile devices to the Internet.

These include wireless networks on most University campuses and wired Ethernet connections in all University Accommodation.

If you've not used these networks before, have a look at the Personal Networks home page.

The networks are available for staff and students at the University of Wolverhampton. All members of the University with an IT account can use them, and the service is provided free of charge.

The eduroam wireless network can be used by staff and students from other educational and research organisations as well as our own.

There is also a wireless network for visitors which uses a commercial Internet feed.

We use equipment on the network to protect users' systems while connected. This is described in the Network Security page.
