How do I use the MFDs?
You can photocopy and print on the Multi Function Devices (MFDs), which are in various locations across the University. The following instructions are for Students.
To use them, you need your University Card, and you also need enough credit in your PCounter account to pay for your printing/photocopying.
They are quicker than standard printers and have lots more features to save you time, such as collation and stapling.
The default is to print single-sided, which you can change if necessary.
Find out how to save paper by printing a booklet on the MFDs.
Using the Card ReaderThe Card Reader looks like the illustration to the right. When you send a file to be printed on one of the MFDs, only you can release the print by using your University Card. This is a useful security feature to ensure someone else does not collect your prints by mistake. MFD Options
